Mo Dani snapped out of her thoughts and, seeing her mother's anxious expression, suddenly smiled. She gently held Wu shi's trembling hand and said earnestly, "Mother, whatever you decide to do, I will support you. Wherever you go, I will go. You will always be my dear mother!"
Wu shi's tears instantly fell. She covered her mouth to stifle her sobs. These tears were not of sadness but of genuine joy.
Seeing their mother cry again, San Ni and Shi Tou stood by her side. Ten-year-old Da Ni seemed to understand something, and with a stern face, she said, "Mother, San Ni'er will follow you too. We siblings all want to follow you. You can't leave us behind. San Ni doesn't want to be a child without a mother..."
By the end of her words, her eyes were red, and she choked up, unable to continue.
Four-year-old Shi Tou didn't fully understand what his mother and sisters were talking about, but he grasped the word "follow" and thought they were going somewhere. He hurriedly shouted, "Follow, follow, Shi Tou wants to follow!"

And Wu Dani, your life is too tough. You cursed your mother’s unborn child! Don’t blame me for being harsh. If you stay, you'll only bring more harm. Hong shi stood at the door, hands on hips, addressing Wu shi and her daughter, as well as the villagers who had come to watch, with these grandiose words. She acted as if she had no choice, thinking someone might actually believe her.
Whether from guilt or something else, none of the other Mo family members were present. In the hall facing the door, only San Ni'er held her brother’s hand, her young face devoid of expression.
