There were still some marks of cart tracks on the ground, most likely left behind during the transportation of goods.
Soon, they arrived at the entrance of the estate, and compared to their last visit, it looked even more deserted.
A few servants were still moving around in the estate, almost without making any noise.
Shu Yu and her companions were quickly led to the main hall, and not long after, the manager of the black market appeared.
It was the same capable middle-aged man Shu Yu had met when she sold mirrors, Master Guo, the manager.
When Mister Guo saw them, he hesitated for a moment, and his expression showed a brief hint of unease.
Although he quickly concealed this emotion, both Shu Yu and Meng Yunzheng were astute and immediately noticed it.
They exchanged a glance, sensing something strange about Master Guo's expression.
Guo quickly smiled and invited them to sit. "Please have some tea."

And she knew that Meng Yunzheng had enough money.

Meng Yunzheng apologized helplessly, "I was in the wrong."
