"Come in, what would you like for lunch?" Ye Muyu entered the yard and called Chu Ziluo who brought two wooden sieves. "Mother, these past few days, both my brother and I have been eating well. "Mother is fine and there's no heavy work to be done at home." There were still eggs and meat at home. However, Ye Muyu had bought a fish in the morning intending to make fish soup. She first fried the fish until it was golden brown, then boiled water and finally added the fish to simmer slowly. "Is the main family here?" Ye Muyu was cutting cabbage. Hearing the voice, she put down the knife and walked out of the kitchen. In the yard stood a woman dressed in navy blue coarse cloth. The woman had a pale yellow complexion, dark skin, and wrinkles on her hands and face. She had a robust figure, clearly accustomed to rough work. Ye Muyu had a graceful figure, especially after being sick, coupled with not seeing sunlight for years, her skin was fair and her hands, which hadn't done much work, were exceptionally tender. The two formed a stark contrast. A hint of envy flashed in the woman's eyes, fleeting but noticed by Ye Muyu. "Do you need something?" Ye Muyu took a moment to observe her before speaking slowly. The woman hurriedly said "Well, it's almost lunchtime, so I came to ask if the vegetables in that corner and the pot...?" "Oh, those vegetables are for you. Arrange them as you like." Ye Muyu led Du Shi to the corner of the shed. In addition to vegetables, there was also a small piece of meat and an unlit stove on this side. Ye Muyu entered the shed. Originally used to raise livestock, the shed had not been used since the Ye family moved in.
