"Is that true?" the people on the other end of the phone exclaimed.
If it was true, would their boss finally be able to escape that painful one-sided love?
"Yeah, and she's playing League of Legends now." Su Xun replied thoughtfully, a gentle smile on his face.
"So Boss, is this the moment we've all been waiting for?" Jiason was excited, and from the sound on the other end it seemed like he knocked over his chair.
"Don't talk nonsense. Our boss is finally seeing a silver lining." Dou Ge corrected Jiason with a serious tone.
"Sort it out yourselves today." Su Xun listened to their antics shook his head and hung up the phone.
After searching the supermarket for a while, he found the little figure he had been thinking about in front of the instant noodle display.
Why was she eating something so nutritionally lacking?
Su Xun couldn't help but feel sorry for her as he watched her stack box after box of instant noodles into her shopping cart.
She had eaten instant noodles continuously for several days and just the smell of it now made her feel like she was going to vomit.
But every time she ordered takeout, she always coincidentally started a match in the game.
She had to give directions, open the door for the delivery and by the time she got back into the game she had already been insulted by her teammates.
So, in order to eat proper food as soon as possible, she had to improve her skills and crush that jerk in the game.
"Hello, your total is 56.8 yuan." the cashier said bagging the items and smiling at Luo Liyan.
"Okay." Luo Liyan reached into her pocket and felt her face stiffen suddenly.
No way, she had actually forgotten to bring money when she went out?
"We accept WeChat or Alipay payments." the cashier offered a solution unfazed by such situations.
The problem was, she was a college senior who was about to graduate and she hadn't gone to find an internship job. She was addicted to games all day long how could she possibly have any money left on her WeChat or Alipay accounts?
Luo Liyan laughed awkwardly, "How about..."
"Just add my items to her bill."
A bank card suddenly appeared from the side cutting off her intention to return the items.
Luo Liyan turned her head and saw the man she had encountered in the elevator and who had followed her all the way here, standing beside her dripping wet.
"That's not really necessary." Luo Liyan said her fingers nervously pinching each other.
After all, she had acted irrationally towards him just now and he was willing to help her without any grudges. He seemed like a good person.
"It's okay, we're neighbors. You can give it back to me when you return home." Su Xun said with a slight smile on his lips.
Although he still looked somewhat rigid at least he appeared to be more gentle than before.
But if he ever found out that this action of his was classified as a good deed he might be scratching at the walls in frustration.
Seeing his sincere response, Luo Liyan finally stopped being dramatic and accepted her shopping bag.
She watched as Su Xun picked up the items he had purchased one by one.
Soft bone ribs, imported beef, chicken wings, and even cream and mushrooms...
